What about 'value' sausages? Chuck or eat? I bought them in a panic on Christmas Eve when our butcher had run out of chipolatas, but then managed to find some at another butchers, so now have two packs of value sausages in the freezer.
TBH the idea of eating them makes me feel a bit queasy but hate throwing food away! That man is richest whose pleasures are cheapest. Henry David Thoreau0 -

I always keep an old marge tub in the fridge for any excess fats (although my butchers sausages and bacon cook with very little excess!) and crusts to go out for the birds once a week. Saves it from landfil and one should NEVER pour fats etc down the plug hole as it causes big problems in the sewers and water treatment plants.0 -
Value sausages taste alright0

Speaking for myself, I WON'T eat meat that tastes awful. As a previous poster has said, heaven knows what's in those burgers. If they are very cheap, the ingredients must be rather poor and apart from having a nasty taste, they can't be healthy either.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0

it all depends on whether you can afford to throw them away, why not try a tomato sauce with onions, herbs garlic bake in oven, may cover the taste of the burgers:xmastree:Is loving life right now,yes I am a soppy fool who believes in the simple things in life :xmastree:0

Where did you get them from and could you take them back?
I know asda will take back anything that's their own brand if you're not happy with it, up to about a year after you'd bought it (why tyou'd keep em for that long though is beyond me!!!)0 -
I found a different recipe of HM burgers on internet that I decided to try today. Problem is I dont like the taste and don't want to eat them...and I got 9 of them left.
Anything else I can do with them?
Recipe was:
450g minced turkey
1 egg
2tbsp bread crumbs
2tbsp ketchup
1tbsp HP sauce
1 tbsp English mustard
1 medium red onion.
I like all the above ingredients but together it wasn't a big hit. All I can taste is mince and mustard0 -
Hi Greenpixey,
There are some ideas on this thread that might help:

I'll add your thread to that one later to keep the suggestions together.
