New job & short term childcare

Today I have been offered an 18hr p/t job due to start next week, half term!
There is a local holiday club which my child can attend which I gather upto 70% can be claimed back by ctc.
As this is only short term care, holidays & perhaps occasional 1hr after school how do I set about claiming as I don't want them to pay me for times not attending, basically fraud & get a hefty fine/bill.
Also is it a given that I will be reimbursed the fees?
Thanks

Just ring up the child tax credits and give them all the details of the play scheme, you need name, address, ofsted number etc, details of hours in childcare and cost etc. You can do it as a one off or ongoing.
They then ask if you want payments spread over the year or just for within the time frame your child is in the scheme.Be who you are, say what you feel, those who mind don't matter, those who matter don't mind. They say that talking to yourself is a sign of mental illness. So I talk to the cats instead.0 -
Thanks for the reply.
So can I call them each holiday/half term indicating that I want to use childcare so they can pay that to me or should I plan it til April 12 & do it all at once?
What if I don't need the childcare but they've already paid it to me can I pay it back easily to them without penalty ie: job ends but I assumed childcare required & requested payment.0 -
They wont pay it to you if you dont have childcare costs as you will of already told them the childcare has ended?0
