Child tax credit is being abolished and replaced by Universal Credit which will have a capital limit of £16,000.

  • does that mean that double the money will be stopped from my tax credit and my jsa when it changes to universal credit or just once

    Might be worth a read.

Not exactly easy reading is it? lol
I'm not sure if I'm reading the last paragraph of part 2 correctly but I'm interpreting it as drug users won't have to commit to the same requirements placed on others?
And the paragraph before that mentions the introduction of "entitlement to work" as a condition to be eligible for maternity pay. Surely you only get maternity pay if you have worked?

I thought I liked the idea of the Universal Credit in that it shows people to be better off in work but the reality of bundling all benefits into one pot is a bit mind boggling.
  • so does that mean than all my saving will be counted

All of your savings will be counted under universal credit.
(apart from some exclusions, like money from personal injury claims probably)
