Where to advertise house for sale without using estate agent?

I used https://www.houseladder.com and got several enquiries, typically just as we decided as circumstances had changed not to move!! I took a few photos did a write up, didn't pay any money. I think there was another one which was something like privatehouseforsale.com

Yep ! For sale signs at the property (professional or otherwise) are one of *the* most effective tools to sell a house, so a sign and a private ad will probably work well for most homes even if you're not on a main road ...

You have to set the savings of money against the hassle you can have in holding a chain together etc. Estate Agents can be awful, but some of them can be very helpful - if you are going to manage without, have a look at http://www.choosing-estate-agent.info/selling_privately.htm

For a few thousand pounds I can put up with a certain amount of hassle! I can also sort it out with the other buys after office hours. Its what you think works best for you in the end.

Find one that advertises on rightmove as well as their own site, there are some, but they don't all do it.
