Will my late payment show?

in Credit cards
Hi guys,
Sorry if this is a bit of a long one. I'd really appreciate some thoughts on this as I'm really worried about it.
I've had an HSBC credit card for five years and always pay it in full every month. I was meant to make a payment on 24th August this year and thought I'd done it. When I received my next credit card statement on 30th August there was a late fee and I realised I hadn't paid it. I called immediately to let them know what had happened and made the full payment straight away (even clearing what was due on the upcoming statement), and the payment was credited to my account on 31st August.
I've checked Experian today and it's showing the month I made the late payment on as the latest, but isn't showing as a late payment. I should have paid £89 for my July statement on August 24th (the one I missed.) Experian shows that I should have paid £89 (bottom row), the amount I paid was £0 (middle row) and the balance is £0 (top row). Presumably the balance is £0 because when I paid I wiped out everything due on the card for the next month too, leaving nothing.
So, when my Experian updates itself to show the month after this current one displaying, will it say the payment was late? Or will it not because even though I was late the current balance is £0? If it doesn't end up showing as late, what would a potential lender think of a month that says I paid £0 even though I don't have anything outstanding owing for that month?
Sorry for all the questions, I'd just appreciate some peace of mind either way. Me and my girlfriend applied for a mortgage in May and pulled out because we couldn't reach an agreement with the seller. Our mortgage broker has the deal on hold until Feb 2012 but I'm now worried the bank will check our credit score again anyway if we find somewhere new or if we don't find anything before then we'll have to wait a year before applying for another mortgage. We'd love to find a house before Feb 2012 but my girlfriend is American and we have to wait to see about whether we need to keep our savings to show when these new immigration rules come in so our deal may expire.
Thanks in advance.

No opinions or thoughts guys? If anyone needs my situation further clarifying please do say so - I'll be happy to try and make it clearer if it seems confusing.0
