Bank Login Does Not Work

Can anyone think of a reason why I cannot login in to a new bank account when I have never had a problem with any other on line bank? I chose my own password etc as usual and then when they finally contacted me about the problem they gave me a new password (half by word of mouth and half by email) I still had the same problem. Could it be something to do with cookies and if so why do I not have problems anywhere else?.
