warranty query

I purchased a digital camera last year, which developed a fault earlier this year. The supplier (Ebuyer) replaced this under warranty and I received the same make and model new camera in May this year. Last week we found that this has deveopled the same fault. I contacted Ebuyer who states that the warranty runs form the original purchase date. If I have received a new replacement surely it should run from the date of receiving the replacement shouldn't it?
They will replace it on this occasion but I informed them that I was unhappy to receive the same make and model with the same fault occurring on the two previous units. They have told me that it is repair or same model replacmenet only. The only way I can get a refund or alternative model is if the original make/model is out of stock. Do I have to accept this?
Thanks

Yes you do. It is standard practice for the warranty to continue from the original purchase.I purchased a digital camera last year, which developed a fault earlier this year. However, as well as any warranty, you do have Sale of Goods Act rights with/against the seller.
The product must last a reasonable time taking into account the amount paid etc.
Have a read of MSE's Consumer Rights article for further details.0
