Maternity allowance - child 2

Hello,

My wife is currently on maternity and is due to return to work after the xmas holidays. She is a nanny, and so she can take our baby to work has changed jobs whilst on maternity leave.

Is there any restrictions on her being paid maternity allowance again? Or does she just need to work the 26 weeks in the test period.

No restrictions on taking maternity leave but you would have to satisfy the usual work conditions to receive maternity allowance.
Any weeks your wife received statutory maternity pay count as a week employed although I'm not sure if the same applies if you received maternity allowance and you would still have to satisfy the earnings rule.
