Has anyone used...the used kitchen co.

Are they any good - they have lots of ex display kitchens and some nearly new ones - some look really quite goode - are the reputable or are there lots of horror stories out there???

Thanks

They act as agents for people selling their own kitchens. You could sell your existing kitchen through them if it was 'posh' enough. They've been around for donkeys ears though.

The thing that has put me off is that they are still incredibly expensive kitchens and there is simply no guarantee that it won't show some sign of being removed and moved. So the discount is to reflect what may end up not being perfect. Worktops can scratch, crack. Units and doors can get chipped and will be incredibly expensive to replace. It may not be whilst it's still in their ownership - it can happen in transit when you collect etc or during the re-fitting. The price needs to reflect the risk you take in moving and refitting something precious and for me, it wouldn't.

So I'd rather have a kitchen that was initially cheaper to start off with that is perfect for me than a designer label that doesn't uite fit. There are some amazing kitchens that appear on there, but eually, there is some stuff that isn't worth new what they're asking second hand, so you have to watch out. Like this one. Nothing spectacular, I could easily find better brand new than this one with that budget:

Also, sometimes they look amazing and initially a really good price, but when you look at the number of units you're actually getting, you realise you couldn't live with that little storage space or that their list simply doesn't meet your needs. eg. Very, very high on my list of needs is a larder unit to store my big bin inside, otherwise the dog uses it like a personal fridge to be raided :rotfl:

You have a big kitchen, so flexibility on design which does go in favour of using them.

It's like TK Maxx for kitchens :)
