Bet you won't be saying that if you spend!! :rotfl:0

Rats (and other rodents)! Just realised my SOA is wrong - whole page of a bank statement missed out from my original calculations.
The fact that it just so happens to include all the insane frittering of wages is just a coincidence...
Back to the SOA then - and yes, I'll post it once re-done!0 -

moving on (because that made my head hurt). I also took apart a throw I'm knitting (on huge, 2ft wooden needles if anyone's interested)
Seriously?? OMG, I have got to get myself a pair of these!!!:j:j
Sorry, got carried away!! Where are my manners???

No maybe not...am quite intrigued by the multiple strands thing...after Christmas I may allow myself a little knitting budget. (Mind you I am sating that about an awful lot of things!) I could of course put the needles on my letter to father Christmas. :xmassmile
Keep looking at the multi ball random lots of yarn on fleabay. and wishing I could crochet...but this may be the way forward.
Hope the SOA is going ok.
I'm building myself up to a new diary. :eek:Pay off as much as you can in 2012 challenge No. 64: 328.75/2,5000 -
Right. *big gulp* This is my current SOA.
Never before seen by anyone (little bit hysterical as I load this onto a public website!!). The bad news is that it shows just how badly I've wasted money (very, very ashamed right now - there were tears, but then I remember the emergency choccie stash at the very tippy top of the fridge....). The good news is that there is loads here with scope to sort.
October is the last time I'll see those wages - it'll be half that from November until I'm let go, so I can't think of a better time to become an MSE-er. As I needed to revise this since I first posted on MSE, I've updated certain bits with some notes

Hi Northern Lassy - welcome to the insanity. If I sound a little muffled, it's because I'm hiding under the quilt at the moment.
Dot - multiple strands are actually pretty simple, and they grow reeeeeeaaaaalllly fast! Keep an eye out for cheaper versions of those needles...you never know. Though if Father Christmas is following this diary - Dot has been a very good girl....0 -
hey kn ... have been reading since the start of your diary ... very funny and enjoyable ...
you have done your soa... well done... you dont really need anyone to lecture you ( so i wont) as you seem to know exactly where your problem is ... so just to ask ... how are you going to change it ? and can anyone here help in anyway ?

There is no reason to be ashamed. It's a problem, it just needs fixing.
Step away from the calories...Knitting_Nora wrote: »The good news is that there is loads here with scope to sort.
There is indeed.Knitting_Nora wrote: »October is the last time I'll see those wages - it'll be half that from November until I'm let go, so I can't think of a better time to become an MSE-er. As I needed to revise this since I first posted on MSE, I've updated certain bits with some notes
That's a deficit of £1,500 a month (approx) until you're let go.Knitting_Nora wrote: »*Deep breath* Well, have at it MSE-verse:

Is this mortgage or rent? Is this high for your area?Knitting_Nora wrote: »Food and Household Shopping . . 345.00 !! Purely due to no planning and being wasteful throughout the month
How many people is this for?Knitting_Nora wrote: »Petrol/Diesel . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 150.00 Again, can easily be lowered with planning.
Is this including a commute?Knitting_Nora wrote: »Parking . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 9.60 I always overspend on parking! Totally paranoid that I'll be hours.
You can always park far out and walk in. Good for the figure too.Knitting_Nora wrote: »Car Insurance . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 39.32 Little high due to a nasty accident a couple of years back.
Do you use Quidco for this?Knitting_Nora wrote: »Credit Card Repayments. . . . .. . 250.00

I take it you mean Jan 2012?Knitting_Nora wrote: »Regular Saving. . . . . . . . . . . . . . 50.00
Why? The interest you get from savings is miniscule compared to the interest charged by debt.Knitting_Nora wrote: »Satellite/Digital TV. . . . . . . . . . . 44.50 Includes phone and broadband as well.
How much TV do you watch? Can you not cut down to a cheaper level?Knitting_Nora wrote: »Birthdays . . . . . . . . . . . . . 25.00 This can and should be lower
It's approx £300 per year - who do you buy for?Knitting_Nora wrote: »Coffees/Sandwiches/Snacks . . . .50.00 Insanity - I don't even like snacking while out!
This needs to be shot. £600 per year...Knitting_Nora wrote: »*dives under the quilt and waits for the onslaught of "OMG!!-style comments*
Not at all. It just needs to be trimmed. You've already looked at some of them.
