snap, not entirely sure how that could possibly be helpful to anyone since I have no clue what its trying to sell from the terrible version of english it uses! It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Evening all!
First up, thank you to everyone who jumped on their spam buttons earlier today (ooo, does that sound dodgy to anyone else??).
Secondly - Charlie!! Lovely to have you lurking over there and watching out for my diary's delicate character - mwah! :A Lurk all you like (I maintain, it's lovely to have lurkers - I have lurkers, people!!:rotfl:).
Thirdly (hmm, anyone mind if I give up numbering the paragraphs?) - how the devil are you all?? Feels like aaaaggggeeesss since I've spent any time with you. I am a bad, bad MSE-er....:o Though I can't help noticing the large amount of chocolate trafficking which has been going on in my absence....*shakes head* shame on you all...and teasing poor LT and Freeby while they're ww-ing...shocking!
As I mentioned this morning, lots going on. Obviously, got canned at the end of last month - best thing for both me, and my company, so while it's a huge deal for me (been with the civil service most of my adult life), it's also good to be in a position where I can start over.
Truth told, I feel very, very fortunate to have had both the opportunity to work where I did, and now the opportunity to do something else supported by the skills I gained along the last umpteen years.... *grabs a chocolate to bolster her 'stepping out on her own' nerves*
Paid off the remaining debt - all lovely, jubbly. Still have the credit cards open though (it's so much more difficult to close a damn credit card account than you'd think!!). Must dig out the listing pad and pen and remind myself to sort that out once and for all tomorrow. In all the excitement, I completely forgot to cancel my direct debits to the cards - which means I'm now in plus-credit (IYSWIM?) on one of them! *sigh* that's me, never quite getting it right! :rotfl:
Have, for the first time ever, utilised my ISA savings account properly. And I've opened my first ever online Post Office one. No idea why I'm so excited about having a PO account, but I really am!
Just to keep everyone happy, I can also report that I've been utilising quidco for my spends, and have some nice earnings due back from them after getting my new RAC membership sorted plus a few other bits and pieces. Plus I've been MSE-ing my mother (whether she likes it or not), and have managed to save her a couple of hundred on her car insurance - which then paid for her pet insurance and some other bits for the new rescue pooch she's taken in.
(On an aside, having seen the dog walk off with my bag of counters more than once - without even slowing down on her 'drive-by', I think that Jobbing and the pooch are one and the same....afterall, have you ever seen them both in the same room at the same time?!).
I mentioned that I've been doing a lot for Nora's Thoughts *looks around for another dodgy post* - website will be up and running before the end of the month (proper glass pics due to be done on Friday, and knitted stuff shortly thereafter). It's later than I'd originally planned basically because I was really quite wobbly and demotivated for a while there between Feb and March. Never mind *pulls socks up* on the right track now!
Not sure I'm allowed to give a link to the site once it's up as it's advertising...but will check the MSE rules and see what they say. In any case, I'll shout when it's live and I'm sure if you googled the name, it'd send you in the right direction....;)
Alongside the website, I'll be doing some local craft shows - fairly small gigs this year, and we'll see how it goes in terms of doing more/bigger events in time. First one is in Broadstairs (Kent) at the end of the month...okay, not so local for you Scots., but for Southern sandgrown peeps like myself, it is.
Have ended up working alongside a very good friend who is setting up her own business at the same time - so we're joining forces as our products compliment (or is it complement?) each other really well, plus it's lovely to have the company when you're starting out.
Have gone in a different direction on the glass work - much more colourful than my usual style, but it's fun and really lovely to do. Quick preview of a couple of designs (s'cuse the dodgy pics - especially the white envelope background!!)...
Annoyingly, you can't see the detail on the colour bubbles in my pics (this is why I've got a mate doing them on Friday!), but they're some of my favourites so far. Want more? You'll have to check out the website in a couple of weeks!
Lots of knitting done as well - mainly wraps for the site (thicker winter ones, and lighter spring/summer ones), plus a throw for a friend and the beginnings of what will end up being silly cup cozies...
I think I've mentioned previously that I'm teaching myself to crochet as well as the knitting. Let's just say that I think the hooks may be better used to shnaffle chocolate....but I shall prevail!! (Or officially go dolally trying....).
And I've been looking at other crafty ideas too - crafty as in crafting...not crafty as in bank robbing (yes, I know that's what you were thinking....especially you over there - yes, you in the blue jumper...shame on you!). Porcelaine gift tags being just one of the things I want to try *rubs hands in evil glee*
Gosh, well, I think that's plenty to be getting on with for this evening - don't you?
Off to catch up on some of the other diaries (by the way, Freeby, I think that post on yours is just someone expressing their opinion...no need to respond unless you want to...), and then an early night as I'm really quite tuckered out!
take care out there!

So relieved you haven't abandoned us.
The glass looks fab, can't wait to see the rest of the stuff.:j
