I have just paid for credit score and it is 265, I do not know anything about these and wondering what is the number for it going in the green?

Firstly the different credit agencies all use a different scale so difficult to say really... Credit Expert (experian) goes up to 999...

Secondly - your "credit score" has no real bearing on if you are guaranteed to be accepted for any credit as lenders all have their own lending criteria (which they don't tend to tell us all about... that would be too easy ;) ) - and speaking as someone who had a 999 score last I checked I have still been turned down for credit cards... I did/do have a slight addiction to credit scores... not because I think they have any real bearing on credit etc... but because I like seeing number trends... it's one of my small guilty pleasures (or was till they started trying to charge me stupid amounts a month!)

  • Green zeros are given when payments are made on time and lenders love to see green zeros.
Keep paying your bills on time and you will get lots of green zeros and improve your credit history and get accepted for credit but remember don't keep lots of high balances try to get them down lenders don't like high balances.

Your first default is like your first kiss you always remember it and so does your debt collector o0

Whether its important - or not, 265 is poor.

I have beem on a DMP for 11 years - still am. Have £14k debts left, and had 13 creditors when I entered the DMP. My credit score is currently 320.
