I got a ticket :(

I took my kids to their swimming lessons tonight at the local leisure centre and when I got back to the car there was a parking ticket stuck to the window.

I've read loads of posts on here saying to ignore it, but I'm still panicking about it. I was parked on a grass mound at the edge of the car park, not causing any obstruction, but there was nowhere else to park.

If my children have regular lessons at the leisure centre, surely that means I have entered into a contract with them, and so I have to pay the fine?

Need some advice please! Thank you.

Just to add, they've ticketed me for "parking out of a marked bay"

Get the "ticket" now look at the section that says send payment to:.................. .......................
we need this information ASAP.

You have not been given a parking ticket or a fine:
From a legal prospective what you have been given is an "invitation to pay a private invoice".
You are legally within your rights to reject the invitation and keep your money:
What will happen is they will buy your private data from DVLA and send a series of menacing letters threatening to take you to court and then more letters from fake debt collectors and fake solicitors again all threatening to take you to court.
They will not take you to court as legally they have no power to fine you or charge you a penalty.
In short it is a scam of impersonation of officialdom and mimic of authority and empty threats.
HOW TO DEAL:
IGNORE everything, ignore all letters, ignore all fake solicitors letters and ignore all fake debt collectors, fake court threats .
They will get fed up and move on to another victim.
IGNORE Means exactly that IGNORE, you do not appeal, there is no appeal it is part of the scam, you do not bite back, do not write or do anything to correspond and they will go away, if they call your telephone, do not confirm any information place the handset down and leave it of the hook for ten minutes .
BE WARNED evidence on these and other forums clearly describes how people who do pay these hoping they go away receive further demands for more money, often several hundreds of pounds.

Thanks - thats just what I needed to hear. The car is actually registered to my hubby's work so I'll have to make sure his Mum/Dad (it's a family business) knows to ignore it all. Thanks for your help!

A few weeks back I got a parking ticket from TPS Parking Solutions for parking in a disabled space. I thought it was a mother and baby slot as they are next to each other in the Tesco car park at Bradley Stoke in Bristol. Because it was raining, I didn't pay much attention and didn't notice that I had incorrectly parked in disabled space, I just wanted to quickly pop into Boots to get a prescription and get out and go home. I must have only been gone about 10 minutes and when I got back I had this parking ticket on my car window. I was really annoyed with myself as I always try to make sure that I park correctly. Having read all the threads on this forum about TPS Parking Solutions, people are advising to just ignore it, and any solicitors letters that follow. So far I am doing this, but haven't received any further correspondence from them yet. Assume I will receive something after the 28 days have passed.

Not always its never the same you may not receive anything, or you could receive a bin load.
However one or a thousand ignore them all!
