Yes you can, if it is less than 100ml.

I'm guessing they'd probably class it as a liquid/paste which means you'd have to stick to the 100ml rule with the clear plastic bag. Can you get marmite in amounts that small?
Can you just wrap it really well and stick it in your suitcase, or are you only taking hand luggage.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

It's not Ryanair who will decide - it's airport security.

If they notice (and stick to the rules) they won't allow it. I don't believe it's sold in small enough packs to meet the 100ml rule - unless you can find the individual portions that some hotels have.

In hold luggage - no problem.

Agreed. Security even treat shoe polish as a liquid! I discovered this fact when I was flying to a job interview.

The smallest jar is 125mls - my daughter had just enough for two weeks at the bottom of a 125ml jar but it was taken away by security (she was gutted!)

I use the individual jam jars to decant marmite into if I want to take it through in my hand luggage. In total you can take up to 10 lots of 100ml liquids/marmite

we have previously seen the individual pots in a net bag (5 or 6 maybe?) at Sainsbury's though it's been a few years.

Think that you can get them on ebay at least - Marmite Love Portions I think they are called...probably not great value for money.

But obviously easier to package up carefully and put in your checked luggage (if you have checked luggage).
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?
  • just wrap it in bubble wrap and put it in your case. No problem
  • Pop it in the post
  • If you are taking hold baggage, get one of the squeezy plastic bottles and pop it in the case - just brought a litre of maple syrup back from Canada in my case with no problem but it was in a plastic bottle.
