letter i received from egg today help

received this same letter x 2 for two different accounts i have with egg today unsure what to do now ?


they told me on the phone i had ppi with both acounts a few weeks ago

Hi there & welcome

If you want to make a reclaim for being mi sold the ppi, you do not have to worry about the paperwork a such, although its handy to have just in case.

But all you do is complete the reclaim questionnaire on step 3 below for each one, send to their head office or complaints dept, and save copies for yourself, good luck.

You can start a complaint if you have your account number/numbers as our Di states. Its easy to do yourself, so i would avoid a claims company.

What i would do is phone egg back up, in the evening as best as you get a call centre and they arent as clued up and ask for the start & finish dates of your loans (if you dont have these) and then get the amount of ppi you paid, not major important but may help you further done the line. Also once you have this info ask for them to return your £10 as they havent supplied you with any information. Ive found two options happen then, they return your cheque or suddenly find your info! :rotfl:

to get you started, Look here for info and reasons for being miss-sold your ppi, Most ppi's were front loaded (loans) which is a big NO NO so go for it!

Once you have had a read though and have your reasons. You will need to fill in a consumer complaints questionnaire. Which I would download, have a read though and familiarise yourself with the questionnaire and its layout. The questionnaire can be found here

Loan account number/numbers OR CC account number/ numbers
start date
finish date

Then complete the form and send it off. If you ring your bank or CC company they may have a ppi complaint line and can start your complaint for you over the phone but id get as much info ready before phoning them. If you start a complaint over the phone, they will ask the reasons why you felt mis-sold so have all the information ready and be prepared.

Doesnt matter about the dates,follow the advice you have been given by Marksman and Di,get your complaint in,i believe they may do this over the phone,just have reasons for mis sell ready.

got infor today from egg first loan started in 2001 and was then superceded by loan in 2003 can I claim on these. loan would have been finished in 2009

Just checked today and the cheeky blighters have cashed the £10 from my cheque !!!! Despite sending me nothing

Sent my claims off this morning to egg and have now contacted them with regards to my £10 cheque that they cashed but then sent me the above letter they will send me a message via the secure website as to what they will do now lol!!!
