JC lost change of circumstances form

i filled in change of circumstances form with my new bank details and handed in to job centre 15 days ago but received my last giro(in cheque form) 2 days ago. so i phone them up to enquire how long it will take and they told me there is no record of it. i was told by the guy at reception don't worry it will only take a few days and it'll be couriered there(he thinks).

im quite annoyed at the fact that they just lost my bank details(and wasted my time) so wondered if there is anyway i can complain and chase this up? seems like they just chucked them in the bin.
i dont know if any kind of id fraud can be committed with name, address and bank details but this seems really unprofessional,

Never send anything untracked to the DWP or other government departments.
Photocopy everything you send, and send it by some tracked post.
This means that if it does go astray, you can in almost all cases be treated as if it had arrived next working day after you posted it.
  • Yes, you can complain. Personal data going missing is not acceptable - and it is missing because they have no record of it and don't know where it is. You can complain by sending a letter of complaint to the Jobcentre.
  • @rogerblack yeh they told they had to send it and when ive asked for photocopies before they been quite rude saying they dont have to do that anymore.

@AsknAnswer2 yeh ill do that tomorrow (ill get one of their complaints forms), sad thing is last time i complained they never even got back to me, shame you cant sue goverment institutions, perhaps theyre been a bit more effective.

    thanks for you help.
