    The key is making sure you use your finger to create the even line between tiles

    Not if you want to keep the skin on your finger or finish in an acceptable time it isnt!

    the grouting sponges are more dense - they hold more water and the holes are smaller, so they stop you having to squeeze it out as much. this may not matter if your only doing a bit, but for £2, whos bothered?

    if you sponge off late enough you should get a great finish, concentrate on getting if off the face of the tiles - then use your polishing off stage to make sure the joints have no ragged edges - use your cotton polishing cloth for this.
