It would appear that Maplins are not prepared to give a guarantee except under their own conditions. I daresay they would even contest 6 months under SoGA.
One answer for the future: GO ELSEWHERE - I certainly won't use them again after reading that. Other MSEs follow suit !
Surely by not defining the reasonable period Maplin could actually be doing good? For example, it would be reasonable for a £1000 tv to last past 18 months, so in this case Maplin would repair/replace/refund if it failed 15 months since purchase?0 -

Never used them myself, but from what I've heard about their attitudes to returns I'd have to agree.0
