i was with Eon paying £90 a month for my duel fuel a few week before the price rise, i went on the comparison sites and it told me that the cheapest fixed rate was also with Eon at £115 a month so i switched, i was only on this a couple of weeks when i got a letter from them saying that they were putting it up to £129 because my original payment didn't cover my usage. wouldn't Eon have known this to start with. i feel like i have been missold.

The only way to use the comparison sites correctly is to input your actual annual usage figures. DD amounts are meaningless.0

This may also be a case of Eon's 'spring zero balance'policy. The customer may not have realised the impact of this policy.
We need more details about annual consumption and how Eon have justified their request. The OP should ask them for a written justification.0
