Has anyone tried this and succeeded, there doesn't seem to be a market leader like ebay.
HouseWeb.co.uk looks a professional site but how many people will go there looking for a house, most people look in local estate agents and local newspapers.
HouseWeb are listed with Fish4homes, Asserta, Propertyfinder, Yahoo, Yell, UpMyStreet and a few others.
Any comments or personal experience would be appreciated.

I registered with several and have had some intrest.
https://www.houseladder.co.uk proved the most successful. They also list on Asserta,fish4homes etc.
The problem is most people use rightmove......and this is owned by a group of large Estate Agents and as such only Estate Agents can put houses on there :-( Each getting there 1 to 3% cut!0 -
I have had success selling a house using www.homesonsale.co.uk which is free to advertise (with 4 pics) and I have also made enquiries with vendors using the site.
I would not use Ebay again as although there were thousands of views recorded nobody asked any serious questions.
If you look through the other threads you will see that there are other free sites to advertise with but I am just mentioning the one that I have had success with.
It's worth a try, and you can PM me if you want to know anything more specific.
( I have no connection with the aforementioned site)0
