Poor thing - I hope you can get the money back - and find somewhere nice to go that doesn't need a flight

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that, hope your H2B is better soon.
Fingers crossed that you get your money back, and can go somewhere by land or sea instead.
Perhaps save your Dominican Republic trip for your 1st anniversary?

Would it be worth trying to sell the train tickets on? Especially if you bought advance tickets at a lower price than is available now. Might be worth putting them on gumtree/ebay and seeing if there's any interest?

So sorry to hear that losingpatience, big hugs to you. I know you would have been excited for your honeymoon. Would you be able to book it for, say, 3 months time?0

Sorry to hear about your honeymoon.
my fiance has had two complete pneumothorax in the past, both out of the blue. With the 1st one though, he was seriously ill, had to go to A and E by ambulance with blue lights and sirens, then straight into emergency surgery (as the lung had completely collasped and his heart wasnt working properly as a result.) He was in hospital for nearly 3 weeks, very poorly and then wasnt allowed out of the house for another 2 weeks after that, think it was 2 months before he went back to work. So whilst its a shame that you'll miss your honeymoon, at least the pneumothorax wasnt worse, or you could have been cancelling your wedding as well....(silver lining and all that!) hope your fiance gets better soon.0 -
Oh that's really crappy, glad it wasn't more serious and I hope your fiance feels much better soon.
We have deliberately chosen to stay in the UK for our honeymoon, so spent hours browsing through cottages. There are some amazing ones out there - you can snuggle up with a DVD and a bottle of wine and relax after the wedding. Then you can have a massive trip later when he's well again. If you google 'luxury cottages' you'll get loads - even the more budget sites like http://www.cottages4you.co.uk have some wonderful places.
Hope the wedding planning's going well and you both have a great day
