Discount for council tax when one receives DLA?

If for example a partner who is in receipt of DLA moves in with a single guy who got 25% discount for council tax, then they declare this to the council, do they still get any discount as partner is in receipt of DLA? Even if this was 2 yrs ago, can they get a rebate?

The single person discount would be cancelled from the date the partner moved in. There is no automatic entitlement to a reduction based on DLA. The only possibility would be to claim council tax benefit if your joint income was low enough to qualify - and any award wouldn't get backdated0

Whats the other income they receive? Apart from the dla?
There won't be any discount for just having dla.0 -
Both people work (one part time, other full time), 2 kids. Single occupancy finished day partner moved in, what I am asking is because one is in receipt of LR/MR DLA do they get discount? And if so, can they get rebate? I am sure I have read somewhere that they can?0

They might possibly be entitled to council tax benefit. Put the details in https://www.entitledto.com and it will give you an estimate of what they might be entitled to0

No. DLA in itself does not give you a reduction in your council tax.
There's a list of what entitles a disabled person to a reduction in council tax on the direct.gov website here;

You don't get a CT discount if you claim DLA as DLA isn't means tested. You can be very well off and receive it.0
