  • Just a thought... but if she's techy-minded why not buy her own name (or something similar if it's taken) as a doimain name, along with a bit of cheap web hosting? that way she could design her own little website. They all seem to learn the basics of how to to do this at school now, so even if she hasn't yet, my guess is that she'll be likely to soon.

Hope you both have a happy Christmas, whatever you get her!

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker Savvy Shopper!
I drove past this place the other day and had to look it up online when I got home. Its driving lessons for 11 to 17 year olds, £30 for 30 minutes. I think my 13 y/o would love it, might get him a lesson for his birthday.

I was going to suggest a kindle too!

What about Ticketmaster vouchers? Or amazon vouchers for E-Books? Not very exciting though but at least she could get what she wanted.

    I'll keep thinking! x

my dd is 13 next month and I was also stuck on what to get her. We've got her horse riding lessons, jls tickets for next year and a magazine subscription for a teen mag, cinema gift card for her to take a friend and some other smaller bits. For her b'day shes getting a pauls boutique bag which she has been hinting for since may lol. what about a voucher to have her hair or nails done :)

Brilliant! why didn't I think of that? She'll love that, thanks so much...
got some great ideas now - thanks everyone. I'm going for domain name, concert/cinema tix and magazine subscription.

Not sure I can see her behind the wheel just yet, but it's an idea for the future...

Also, signed 1st editions - gonna keep that one for her birthday

I feel a lot less stressed now thanks!:rotfl:
