Christmas present for 13yr old daughter, help please!

...trouble is she is not into make-up or fashion at all, and is too "mature" for toys!

Music and films are out because she has a credit balance with itunes that she hasn't wanted to use for anything...

She has fancy toiletries unopened from last year...

She LOVES reading and I have already got her a selection of books but I wanted to give her something special that she wouldn't expect - I just can't think of anything!

She is a big Dr. Who and Merlin fan, and she likes making and building things, also she's quite techie...

Last years Christmas present was a kindle which was perfect for her, but I'm struggling this year:rotfl:

ideas much appreciated x

Has she been to the Dr Who Experience? my sister took my nephew who is Dr Who mad and they said it was brilliant, also there is the science museum which to some kids would be a horrible present but to those kids that like how things work, building things etc its fab (my mum took my son and had to drag him out at the end)

OK, it was the easy option and my own 13 YO DD is full of ideas for herself whenever I ask.

How about a build your own tardis kit:

Does she like theme parks? Perhaps a Merlin pass for a year, (and one for you).

Does she have a favorite band or group? Concert tickets perhaps?

  • Aha! I just googled Dr. Who Experience...yes it does look excellent but I am gonna have to do that one some time when we are in London coz otherwise the trip and tix would be beyond the budget. Thanks for the idea though:-)
  • Some good ideas there guys! I'm gonna look at JLS and Jessie Jay tours right now, and the Merlin pass thingy....
