Approved for Vol Redundacy on Mat Leave but still get SMP Confused.

Hello
I am currently on maternity leave and on SMP only since mid Sept.
My application for Voluntary Severance has been accepted and my end date is 27th October.
My employer has stated that they are oblidged to continue paying me SMP until mid Feb.
I'm confused as to wether I amofficially unemployed come the end of October or will I be classed as employed as I am in receipt of SMP??
Any ideas?

On the severence, you may be entiled to full pay for your notice period so worth checking the numbers they are ofering.
If on maternity leave I don't think you can be unemployed in the sense of being available to work.0
