Hi guys
I firstly parked in my fitness first gym car park in romford essex and forgot to enter my details onto the system that day that i was in the car park.
I then recieved this letter asking for 90 or 50 if i pay in two weeks. told fitness first and they said theyd sort it for me.
I recieved a good 4 or 5 of these letters constantly changing amounts. After researching it on sites like this i realised i should leave it and not worry about it. Months past then we started recieving letters from Roxburghe.. im at uni atm and my car is my dads car therefore the letters go to him. My mum is obviously !!!!!!!! herself thinking the house is guna get reposed or something! .
I told her they will stop sending letters soon but now weve recieved two from graham white aswell .. just wanna kinda get verification that im doing the right thing ignoring it and wanna know if anyone else has had this amount of letters.
Danny

You are correct, just keep ignoring these clowns. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0
-
Graham White AKA Michael Sobell is a name rented by Roxburghe to try and intimidate. What it actually is, is a different letterhead then the usual Roxburgh crap and can be safely ignored!0
-
Don't worry about it Danny. I received the same letter as you as I posted in thread i opened here: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3406741
I first got two from Roxburghe too and also one from Graham White soon after - both which you can safely ignore

Planning on leaving the gym at any point?
If you are going to cancel your membership anyway, send them all the Parking Eye crap and tell them they've just lost a customer as a direct result.0 -
After the riots spilled over into Ilford, lets just say my job required me to be working all the hours under the sun, I overstayed in one of the town centre car parks and started receiving letters from Parking Eye, now Roxburghe and I presume soon Graham White Solicitors.
I wanted to share with you how Roxburghe have changed their letters to possibly become even more intimidating, in particular;
We are fully aware of anecdotal information being presented via the internet and on various websites and you may feel this guidance is worth following. We strongly urge you to speak to independent legal advice rather than rely on these opinions, and we would respectively suggest that you refer to the Civil Procedure Rules part 31*, and more specifically parts 31.16 and 31.17.
My question being; has Roxburghe found some loop hole and switched onto people not paying up, or is this just a another scare tactic??0 -

This paragraph has been in use by Roxburghe for some time and is likely to mislead and, as a consequence, intimidate. My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).

Hmm so the debt monkeys are threatening with their pseudo -legal gibberish. It invites the response 'I have followed your kind advice and consulted a solicitor who would refer you to the reply given by Pressdram in Arkell v Pressdram 1971. No doubt these minimum wage legal 'experts' will know exactly what is meant!Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!0

Indeed.
Still makes me laugh every time I read it. So to assist their searches here is the relevant part (though Googling Arkell v. Pressdram will probably throw up the correct answer):We note that Mr Arkell's attitude to damages will be governed by the nature of our reply and would therefore be grateful if you would inform us what his attitude to damages would be, were he to learn that the nature of our reply is as follows: F*ck Off.My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
