Good deal, i subscribed using a v. similar offer a few years ago when i was a student.. found my first job using the adverts in the back

My D.Phil was advertised in the back too - waaay back when .

Personally I hate the NS - it's the Daily Mail of the Science world, but most universities expect their students to read it...

i subscribe to that but I have just realised that since i renewed I haven't been charged the student rate, is it worth trying to claim it back?

If you're a university student, you'll probably be able to access New Scientist online through library services. Most unis use Athens login, for example, for me (at Hull uni), I go to the New Scientist site, go to Athens login, then type hul before my university computer login and password. Full access to all new and old issues, for as long as I'm at uni. And that's £20.50 cheaper than buying it cheap!

Yuk - I hate to read articles etc online... I'm one of those people who has to print online journal articles to read them properly... Nothing like a bit of marginal annotation!!!
