Funding Nursing Care

I looking for a little guidence, my Mum has just moved into a nursing home and will receive three months 'funding'. Her house is up for sale and am hoping it will raise approx £160K. I would like to invest this as safe as possible using the intrest to fund her care, were is the best and safest place for the cash.

It isnt going to happen.
If you stick it on a savings account, the interest wont be enough and the capital will erode.
