Energy Saving Ideas
As winter approaches... and I look at my mahoosive gas bill from British Gas (who have kindly been charging me ridiculously low estimates for over a year and now smacking me in the face with a massive 'actual' charge!) ... I wonder that there must be ways to save money on your energy bill in general.
With Electricity an easy one to measure and cut down on (turning off lights and main switches etc) ... gas is always that little bit more elusive.
I have Gas Central Heating that is on a timer for the morning and evening, however I hardly ever turn the temperature dial up enough to require the heat to come on. My water is on the same timer for twice a day to be heated using gas. And finallly, I use gas for cooking. Any ideas on how to cut down on my bills?
Any advice appreciated!

I never have mine on a timer I switch it on when needed. The obviously money saving is if you dont use it you pay less
That said, keep doors closed, insulate wear thin layers of clothing it traps the air and keep you warm
Oh and monitor your usage and submit meter readings0 -
You also have a good chance you may get a better deal else where plus cashback in some cases and you dont have to waste time by listening to there spiel
I just say no thanks and shut the doorharrowing. wrote: »BrrrhhhH! B
Energy saving tip - never talk to door-to-door salesman at the door as all the heat gets out. Now there's a great excuse to see them on their way....0
