Claiming Income Support in conjunction with sickness benefits

I just wanted to say that I had heard from a benefits adviser that from February 2011, if you claim Incapacity Benefit or DLA, then you would no longer be able to top up with Income Support. However, I rang the Benefits Enquiry Line and they told me that you can still claim, so thought I would post with this info. I have successfully claimed Income Support on top of my other benefits, including over £30 a week as I am a carer.
The number to ring to claim Income Support is 0800 055 6688.
