E.ON Water Heater Service Charge
Hi - does anyone else have the same problem and can offer advice?
We have just moved into a new build "energy efficient" block of flats and have to pay a service charge as standard for building maintenance etc.
Our builidng company have set up an agreement with E.ON who supply our hot water. Basically - we have no water heater in our flat, it's a central unit which supplies all the flats.
As well as taking up to 2 minutes to get the water hot - wasting water while we wait to take a shower, E.ON also charge us £25 a month as service charge. Bearing in mind there are 58 flats in the block which equates to approx £17,400 a year! (Our heated water bill is £12 a month, which is fine).
Is that reasonable? Really just after any advice as to whether they can do this and whether it's worth disputing the amount or trying another supplier?
Thanks in advance
