Brabantia Praise!

Not often I feel the need to praise a company, but just really impressed with Brabantia.

Our kitchen bin has a press open lid, and a spring fell out a couple of days ago so it doesn't open by itself now.

Googled customer service number, straight to a uk person, no automated messages, and they're popping a whole new lid in the post today!

What a great company that has that much trust and pride in their products they can give out lifetime warranties.

I get strangely excited about bins.

I've had a new lid and catch. They did not even ask me to return the broken one.

Me too! They are fantastic! Bought our bin in 2007 and cant pretend to have looked after it to be honest ... but a new bin lid was in the post, no argument!

I bought one 18 months ago, got home and wondered how I could have spent £79 on a kitchen bin. Thus far no problem at all. Good to hear comments such as the ones above in cas it does go wrong.

Another vote for Barbantia here. Hinge cracked on the lid, registered on the website, new lid within the week. Unfortunatly that wouldn't stay shut after a week so e mailed them and 2 new clips arrived next day. All seems ok again now. No proof of purchase required, Well done BArbantia.
  • This is very similar to what happened to my parents. Bought the bin a few years before, couldn't find the receipt etc and a couple of years ago the lid broke. Rang up to ask if it was possible to buy a replacement lid "Oh dear we're very sorry to hear that, our lids shouldn't break at all". Popped a new lid out and they didn't even have to pay for postage.

Certainly made me inclined to buy a Brabantia bin.
