router network key

I am trying to add a third comp to the wi-fi router at home.
The comp is running XP but it keeps asking for the network key.
I have got into the router set up page via http 192.168 way,but Nowhere does it say network key,it is a netgear router.
I don't really want to reset the router incase I can't get it worling again

Does this mean that you can't remember password? As password (network key) would have been set-up to provide security for your network.

You should be able to change the password by logging in to your router and going to Wireless Settings. There should be a box for a Passphrase - enter a new password. But by doing this you will then need to enter the new password into your other PCs as the old password won't work anymore.
  • Thanks for the help i did what I was told and it sems to work fine now.:j
