Amazon Seller Question

Hi,
Sorry if its in wrong place, let me know if it is.
I am selling some old uni books to up my income this year.
I have listed the book and edition correctly, the book sold, now 2 weeks later the buyer wants a refund because its the wrong edition.
It was definetly listed correctly, however she has clearly purchased the old edition when she wanted the new one. By my understanding, I don't need to give her a refund as it was entirely her error.
Another issue is, if I offer a refund, I have to give back the postage charge (£2.80 - can't change.) - even though it cost me nearly £4.50 to post, but amazon say up your selling price to account for this. And I also can be asked to pay the sellers fees, which could be another £4.50. Hence I will lose £10 from this whole fiasco.
Advice please...
Thanks

Well according to Amazon terms as long as the item was described correctly, and it's condition was described correctly, it's up to you whether to offer a refund.
How long after receiving the book did the buyer contact you? (was it within the 14 days limit?).
"Where you are withdrawing from your purchase between 7 and 30 days after delivery (or between 7 and 14 days in the case of items) and there has been no error on the seller's part, the seller is only required to refund the cost of the item."
Have you contacted the buyer? Perhaps you could come to a compromise ... they get a partial refund which doesn't leave you out of pocket?
My concern is that the buyer might leave negative feedback (howvever unfair), and it might be worth just doing a refund so you can sell the remainder of your books."Out of excitement comes invention" Charlie Chaplin0 -
It was exactly on 14 days, which is annoying.
I don't really mind the negative feedback if im honest, as I can just pull down the 5-6 books left out of the 10+ i've sold already, and put them under my girlfriends amazon account (her books anyway - im just doing her a favour).Wins Pre-2011 : Arctic Monkeys Tickets
