Bids

I've got an eBay item listed with a £50 reserve. I've got 25 watchers and have had 3 bids.

Can someone help to explain? Three bids all at different times all from the same person and all for the same amount?

How does that work?

  • I think it happens when they enter or change their maximum bid.

So she's increased her maximum bid from her initial bid twice but as she's the only bidder only the minimum bid shows each time?

If you have a reserve, I'd have thought the bids would be showing their max?

it means they bid, but haven't met the reserve yet. if they bid £50 or more, the bid price will jump to the £50.

if you started the auction at £1, and they bid £2, £5 and £10 it would still be showing at the starting price of £1.
    TOP MONEYSAVING TIP

Make your own Pot Noodles using a flower pot, sawdust and some old shoe laces. Pour in boiling water, stir then allow to stand for two minutes before taking one mouthful, and throwing away. Just like the real thing!

It could also be that the bidder who is showing on your list has set a maximum bid and other people have been bidding but not yet exceeded the first bidder's maximum.
