    It would be interesting to know what software products actually require the Java Runtime Environment - I suspect there are very few, now that most developers have moved over to Flash. OTTOMH I can only think of LibreOffice (and Open Office, if you're still using that).

    Thinkbroadband's speed tester and other such stuff uses Java :)

    http://www.formula1.com/default.html requires Java if you're registered and want to view the timing screen in the same way as the commentators and the teams on the pitwall.
