Gordon Bennet , they're at it AGAIN! ( more referral links! lol )..... Sorry but lets hope they DO cap it at 7,500 which will be reached very soon

I thought that people would see not to use my link , thanked people nicely for using it , used bold print and capitals , etc sorry if you think it was unfair

( I was also busy trying not to get this thread closed! )

..................Shoot the messenger why don't you :(:(:(

No need to be melodramatic. Thank you for pointing me in the direction of the referrals thread. I have learnt something new today as a result of it. However, I learnt about the deal from the advance posting of Martin's e-mail on here yesterday.

I'm not being melodramatic , just telling it how it is from my point of view as you have done..

MANY others spotted it on the main page of MSE ( am looking at it right now ) but decided to post it nice and early as it was a fabulous deal and was waiting for it to become live as many others were )

I thought it was a good idea to get things moving on the referral board so we all had a chance to get the deal for free which is what I WANTED for everyone!! My intention was not to leave it on there to get extra clicks as it does me no good to do that , so what I have learnt is to remove my link in case I get shot down for it otherwise in future! ;)

I'll leave you to post the deal next time , PLUS make sure the deal doesn't get closed by reporting all the numerous referral links on the thread etc , plus answer peoples queries , plus keep the referral board going at the same time! lol ..... And all I can say is JOLLY GOOD LUCK

Sounds like sour grapes to me!!! ...

I think when the deal is "live" it shows the little yellow men to indicate how far you are from getting it free (four in total - your own purchase of the deal plus three others that are referred using your link). When all four are filled you get your purchase for free. These yellow men ONLY appear when the deal is still selling i.e. not sold out.

Once the deal is sold out these men vanish but of course when the payments are taken (one day later) your 3 referred people will pay for their purchases and your purchase will then be free (your payment will not be taken). If there is a problem with one of the payments of the other three (e.g. one of them cancels the order) then your payment will be taken as you have not made the quota.

So it all gets sorted out one day later as orders are completed and payments finally taken.

The upshot is you will only get it free when the other three people have paid in full for their orders.

I am pretty new to Living Social so feel free to correct me if I am wrong.:)
  • thanks OP, didnt get enough referrals, but still a good deal!

I am just waiting for the Soap and Glory Hatbox to use my extra points on now!!

Just received my e-mail from Living Social! :j

Its quite easy to redeem this offer , you just go through the link on the pdf voucher ; https://www.treatstreet.boots.com/moreinfo/pgliving_social

Then REGISTER with Boots Treat Street if you haven't already AND if you haven't registered yet , quickly send me a PM & I'll add you as a 'Tell a friend' and you'll get £2.50 OF EXTRA POINTS too!!

Then once registered or logged in go to your chosen retailer ( I bought my USB laptop hoover for £1.23 on Ebay! ) and a POP UP BOX will appear for you to put your Living Social code in , then press continue to go to retailer , purchase your product and the sale should track & you will receive an e-mail within 5 days from treat street to acknowledge your sale ( and can check the extra points added for your sale to activate the offer on treat street ) and one when your points are ready to collect from a Boots kiosk! :j:j:j

    Proper instructions here! ;

    Instructions
    1) Visit https://www.treatstreet.boots.com/moreinfo/pgliving_social

6b) If you decide not to complete a purchase at check-out
today, don't worry - we'll remember your code for you so
you don't need to enter it again
