Reebok Rowing machine

I purchased a new Reebok rowing machine through Amazon Marketplace (Seller - Bargain Clearance Warehouse) in July 2011, its become unusable as the footplate has cracked wont retain your foothold. On contacting Amazon they have told me that the seller only covers goods for the first 30 days and thereafter its Reeboks responsibility, therefore I should contact Reebok direct, surely this is n't right ? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you not bought a second hand (used) item?
I have noticed that Amazon Clearance Warehouse have change the status of most things from refurbished to used in the last year or so. I guess they were having too many problems.0 -
