not sure what you want to know? they are not under obligation to accept one kind of card over another?0

Some online stores and all offline terminals (like on trains and aircraft) do not support Visa Electron because their systems cannot check for the availability of funds. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0

i can use it on all other sites never come across this before and do nearly all my shopps online tesco seem only ones to decline it. They are trying to increse profit why lose so many customers over this.0

I doubt they're losing many. AFAIK only one bank still offers electrons. The others phased them out. And you'll probably find that a large % of those that have them, will have more than one card and possibly only use electrons for low/no fee's.You keep using that word. Other cards allow the store to check funds are available and hold them until the transaction is complete or make changes to the price in case of substitutions etc, Electron doesn't have this facility so the card is not right for the system they use.
You can use it instore because it's a fixed price and you know exactly what is being paid at checkout, so if the funds are there they can take them.0 -

just because you can use it on other websites means absolutely nothing, each website owner can choose to accept which cards they want, only option is to get a card they do accept.0 -
Tesco can't be the only cheap as shite online retailer. Try Asda."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0
