my freebie tickets arrived at home and then the b/f came round with some as it turns out he does listen to me occassionally and applied for some himself too ;0)
so we have 10x tickets, a trip to Brighton in the planning but does anyone have any other ideas of places to go using the tickets - not so fussed about shopping, would like a nice day pottering about looking at some interesting historical things and then a nice pub meal before heading back to London town.
the niece is claiming a couple for herself and a friend but i'm a bit worried about her doing the ticket correctly on the day - maybe i will go to the statio with her, or do you think the inspectors will be helpful to a young person???0 -

St Albans is a nice old town with the Verulamium Roman Museum, St Albans Abbey, many historical pubs and a big Saturday street market.0 -
Effectively they are Anytime Day Returns.
I can see the confusion. On conventional tickets I think the words are "from" and "to" and they swap the stations round on the RTN portion.
There is no problem in this case, they are valid for the return journey despite the slight ambiguity.
Thanks for clearing this up. I'm just a bit worried if they stop me and my friend on the way back, but we're going to be on a late night train so hopefully there won't be a ticket inspector in sight! :rotfl:

My book of scratch off FCC tickets have finally arrived !!
Instructions are very clear on the reverse of each
You have to seal each ticket after completing / scratching off, before you travel. (I thought the sheets were for protection - I've worked out to peel off the backing from the top of each ticket)
Thanks OP and others for their input.0 -
Hello,
I got 5 of these tickets and no longer have any plans to use them....anybody want them, let me know0 -
Used my freebie tickets couple of weekends ago in Brighton , lovely day out also used my 50% off in ask for lunch so a very cheap day out . I think everyone is using them in Brighton as the ticket inspector literally rolled his eyes when I showed them at the gate but no probs using them .0
