Hi, because of the time lapse and the fact that anything could have happened in the past year I think it is very unwise and unfair to accuse these workmen of theft without proof.

It's fair enough to contact the police to get a crime ref. number so you can pursue your claim but thats all, it could rebound on you.

Do the right thing and drop the accusations !!

Do you have personal possessions cover? This will usually cover loss of an item within the home

I did read that as Hub defending you, and was answering Cifford_Pope directly, saying there were a lot of others morons who thought the same as him (Cifford_Pope), thus implying he was the moron.

I'm in good company then. Insurance should be for accidental and unavoidable losses that would impose an intolerable burden on the person suffering, so they spread the burden amongst other similar insured people.

As far as I can see, this loss was neither accidental nor unavoidable, simply careless. Yet you want to blame it on the workmen!

my gran had safe places, had a watch when I was 8 for me....30 years later never found to the day but it wasnt stolen.
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
