what time do banks update?

I bank with nationwide and am awaiting a payment due in my account what time will it clear ?

Their systems normally update around 00.20 - 00.25. You can pay bills or transfer money from then but can't use your debit card until an hour or so later (assuming the only funds you have available are your newly cleared funds). All based entirely on my own experiences. Hope this helps. Let me know how it all goes.
