can one pay off credit card bills at post office?

I went to my local post office branch about 5 months ago, and the cashier said "you can not pay credit card bills at post office". (I have a normal credit card from a bank).

according to their website, it says yes, one can pay at the post office.

Most of them you can't. The PO Credit Card, obviously, you can.

If the payment slip shows Transcash on it, as well as Bank Giro Credit, you can pay it at the Post Office. They may charge you.

Why do you want to pay your bills at the PO, rather than through telephone or Internet banking?

Thanks for your answer, my bank stopped doing 'bill payment' through ATM, and they advised using internet or telephone banking. I rather avoid this, so PO is only the option (paying CT and rent), and sometimes CC bills.
