    but what is 'till spits'?
  • not stupid at all Mezamoo, I didn't know when I first joined:

till spills or till spits are generated by the checkout when you pay for your goods. If you have indicated you wish to receive special offers then they are produced (as long as your clubcard has been used). They can be geared towards what you buy or as a marketing tool to encourage you to try new things. I tend to get them every fortnight generally on a Monday or Tuesday.

The till spits/spills can either be money off or give points on purchases of a specified item.

Many people sell their unwanted ones on ebay for money or swap them with other people.

  • Whats wombling?
  • wombling is a way of helping towards the decluttering of the tesco car parks !, people pick up receipts from the floor, at the end of tills, car parks, in bushes and in trolleys.

You can see if the receipt can be used as it will have a barcode on it, then next time you are passing CS hand them your receipt and the clubcard and the points will be added onto your clubcard.

Wombling is one way of getting extra points but without spending any money

I had the same happen to me last year, a guy was paying for a tv £899 and asked if anybody wanted the school vouchers I said no but I will have your points. Often wonder what his wife said when he told her he gave away

Not strictly wombling but I did find a £10 note in a Tescos car park just before xmas and also found a 50 point till spit.

Not strictly wombling either, but I lost £10 in an ASDA car park just before Christmas!

I keep trying to womble but my 10 year old sister wonders why I'm scrambling through old trolleys and the ground and the like.
  • Well guess what? I'm going to be a womble now I've grown up! Never heard the term before-I must have missed out a lot over the years :( Never mind-it will all change now!
