10p bread - every day!

I discovered M&S reductions the other week, it was when we had the really hot weather, we nipped in not long before closing as it was still hot and wanted a few bits for a picnic tea in the park, no one else was in the store, so we had free reign of reductions.
Got 5 cookies and a granola slice for 10p
10 loaves of bread 10p each
10 x 2 pints of milk 10p each
croissants 4 pack 10p
choc au pains 4 pack 10p
salads 10p each
sandwhiches 10p each
strawberries 10p each
And the best ever a £15 cake reduced to 50p it was delicious, it was a chocolate brownie one.
However a few days later I was in town and popped in OMG - it was then that I witnessed the vultures, well the students, who caused havoc whipping everything off the shelves and demanding the SA to hurry up with the reductions, they were like a swarm of locusts.
I nip in every now and then, but I really couldnt lower myself to that behaviour over a 10p loaf of bread.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T
:T than themselves - you know who you are!:T0 -
Hmm not sure if my local M&S does reductions as I've only ever seen one or two mark-downs quite a while ago in there..
May have to find out their opening/closing times and investigate, as the local (metro) Mr T's reductions aren't the best sadly
Thanks for the tip OP xOn the up

I posted on M&S reductions last week, they can be fab! I got 2 lamb shanks, down form £9 odd to 50p:money: Big tubs of soup down from £2.99 to 50p, croissants the same. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

I've never seen reductions like this at my local M&S, I'm going to have to try being there near closing time.
My local co-op has some rather unimpressive mark-downs on bread. Small Warburton loaves that are usually £1.05 new for 74p, with the best before date being that day. Not tempted. French sticks marked down to 20p are much more tempting - they make good garlic bread.0 -
I think you have to time it right, because everything seems to disappear from the shelves VERY quickly. The wolves image isn't far off the mark either, although maybe more drooling

Some people seem to live for these bargains! It probably depends on your particular store though. Might be worth asking a member of staff, M&S seem to have really nice, friendly staff.0
