Tesco self service checkout + inexperienced staff = rip off

Short version.

If you put your shopping through such a till at Tescos in Derbyshire and you do not get a receipt - DO NOT rely on the advice of an inexperienced member of staff who tells you that you have to put your shopping through again.

Before even thinking about doing such a thing ask to see a supervisor who will be able to check if it has in fact gone through and this will save you the time, effort and expense of a return journey 2 days later to the store when Tesco have charged you twice.
