updating iphone 3gs to ios 5, help

i see you can get the new operating system for your iphone. been trying too do the update but updating anything from apple seems to not really be working. has anyone else found this? wondered if there was too much of a backlog of people doing updates?

Have you updated iTunes to the latest software level 10.5?
Also, what 'isn't working' about the update? Are you getting any error codes or messages?0 -
As above: You need to go to iTunes, update to the latest version and then plug in your iPhone and update as well. It should ask you to download the latest iOS 5. There is no problem with speed anymore (and there was only minimal last week).

it was a bit slow checking for any updates. i have updated my mac and itunes and just started the update on iphone. cheers£18 for my old mobile.
