Best app for Fishtext

I'd like an app that makes it really easy to use Fishtext, using the phone's contact list and so replies come back as normal texts to the phone. I tried WebSMS and that seemed unreliable (often not connecting) and then Fishtexts own "app" which really was just a webpage requiring the number to be typed in - very slow and cumbersome. Can anyone suggest better tried and tested apps?
Looking at the Fishtext website it seems they have hiked prices. 3.3p to 4.3p to text Poland now, I am sure it used to be about a penny! Perhaps my real question should be are there any cheaper, better, reliable, easy-to-use providers out there for sending texts abroad?

The 'App' depends on the model of your mobile telephone.
The webpage that you describe does not require you to enter the number. Once you choose 'New SMS' and the new screen opens, there is a little 'book' icon to the right of where you would normally enter the number. Click on it and it will open your address book.
Alternatively, you can just enter the short code under which you have stored the person, rather than entering the number.
I store mine as initials. So I just enter their initials and off I go.0 -
Sorry, I should have written that I have a San Francisco running Android.
Thanks for the advice, I will take another look at the Fishtext webpage.0
