hi, has anyone had any contact good or bad with this company?

I 'gave' them my Sony vaio on 23rd September, which they valued at £243. it os only 6mths old.

Despite ringing, and ringing, its one excuse or another. they finally said a cheque had been sent on monday 10th.......it never arrived, 'supposedly' lost in the post.....

Any advice greatly appreciated........

I think it's the Sale of Goods Act 1979 that would be relevant for consumers, but the Act only covers sales from a company to a consumer, rather than vice versa. I would imagine that private contract law would apply to your situation and you could sue for breach of contract. Then again, I'm no expert!
