Clearing old debts

Hi I have had problems in my young years and 8 years ago used Gregory Pennington to clear my debts and thought they were done, however it turns out that they are not, and with them being with other people taking the debt on I do not know how to clear them or in fact whether I have to. I just want them off my credit file as I can not get any credit at all. I have a credit card with vanquis which I put a small amount on there each month and then clear and also a H&M account which I do the same. I also have a contract with o2 but can not get one with any other provider. I would really be grateful if you could help me

The debts are over 8 years old there are no new ones

There is really not enough detail there... what debt are they chasing for? what's the story? Unless we know the specifics we really don't know what to start advising you...

Hi after posting this I called the cccs for advice as I thought it was easier talking than explaining on here.................as it happens as no one had contacted me for over 6 years they have completely gone from my records, just need help with the remainder

i have two debts to my name

one for £37 which can sort

and the other is for £290.00 this debt is 3 years old and not heard anything for about 2 ? It is still saying avon cosmetics on my credit report, do I contact them direct and also is it worth offering them a lower payment ?
